Super TestCar reviews - Jeep - Cherokee - Limited 5-dr wagonJeep modelsThe Car23 May 2002 By BRUCE NEWTON THE Cherokee is something of a pastiche, the traditional seven-slot grille working somewhat incongruously with round headlights, squared off and heavily shouldered wheelarch flares and a tall, boxy, body. Of course, other off-road touches are there too, like prominent roof rails, chunky alloy wheels and black exterior mirrors, while Limited models also feature colour-coded front and rear bumpers, as well as foglights. Not unpleasant but just a bit heavy-handed in its attempt to marry Jeep's traditional design cues with modernity, the Cherokee is certainly one of the more distinctive medium off-road designs. Did you know? The Cherokee's styling builds on themes first illustrated by the Dakar and Jeepster concept vehiclesAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
