Its coupe/cabriolet shape is visually appealing, but limited rear-seat space means it is best suited to singles or couples who are not encumbered by children. The entry-level CLK 200 Kompressor is no ball of fire in terms of outright performance, but the AMG-tweaked CLK 55 is a genuine road rocket.
