Super TestCar reviews - Mercedes-Benz - CLK-class - CLK430 Elegance coupeMercedes-Benz modelsResearch Mercedes-Benz Engine23 Oct 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON THE CLK 430's 4.3-litre V8 engine was first seen here in the E430 in January, 1998. Featuring three-valves per-cylinder, it pumps out 205kW at 5750rpm and 400Nm from 3000 to 4400rpm. Given that the CLK tips the scales at a none-too-heavy 1555kg, performance is rapid enough to label it a genuine sporting coupe. Mercedes-Benz says the car can accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in 6.4 seconds and has an electronically-governed top speed of 250km/h. Did you know? The CLK is offered with a choice of five engines with outputs ranging from 125kW to 260kWAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
