Super TestCar reviews - MG - MGF - VVC convertibleMG modelsSteering14 Feb 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON THE MGF is the first MG to offer power steering. It's a standard rack and pinion, speed-sensitive system but instead of using hydraulics, it employs electric assistance, the degree of which is determined by load sensors and speed. One of the advantages is the removal of the "hiss factor" found in conventional hydraulic power steering systems. The turning circle is 10.5m and turns lock to lock 3.1. Did you know?Fuel economy and emissions are reduced because the power steering system is only powered when assistance is requiredAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
