Road TestCar reviews - Nissan - Maxima - ST-L sedanNissan modelsThe Car30 Jan 2004 By BRUCE NEWTON THE Australian Maxima is actually based on a car called the Teana in Japan, rather than the US model Maxima, which has a far more challenging and industrial look to it. The Aussie car is still conservative yet this time around it's cohesive and impressive, bar the rather over-sized headlights. Compared to its predecessor, this car is actually 40mm shorter and 15mm narrower despite riding on a 25mm longer wheelbase. The cabin is 15mm taller. The ST-L is the base model, with the Ti and Ti-L the other two models in the range. Equipment levels rather than styling tweaks distinguish the three cars. Did you know? The new Maxima is available in six standard metallic paint colours: Platinum, Sapphire Black, Harvest Gold, White Diamond, Burgundy and Fountain BlueAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
