Super TestCar reviews - Renault - Megane - convertibleRenault modelsOverviewRenault's Megane provided relatively inexpensive four-seater rag-top motoring30 Nov 2001 RENAULT'S return to Australia has been marked by the introduction of a selected range of niche-market models, including the Clio Sport, Scenic mini MPV - and the Megane cabriolet. The cabrio immediately scores a few points by being in the region of $10,000 less than its nearest competitor. But even without the price advantage, the little Renault should sell up a storm (albeit a minor one) with its good looks, dynamics and generous standard equipment. The cabriolet is particularly easy to live with and returns a decent driving experience, with a 1.6-litre engine that delivers more than you would expect.
