Super TestCar reviews - Renault - Megane - rangeRenault modelsOverviewRenault's quirky Megane hatch range is joined by a more conventional sedan31 Mar 2004 Renault has joined the booming small sedan market with a four-door version of its controversially styled Megane hatch. Most obvious is its lack of the hatch's squared-off rear-end that has featured so heavily in Renault's marketing campaign for the car. But the longer-wheelbase sedan also brings a number of advantages over the hatch in terms of price, rear-seat legroom and comfort, and a split-folding rear seat. Unfortunately, Megane sedan also comes with the hatch's mediocre steering and handling, so must rely on outstanding safety, equipment, comfort and style in its quest to rival leading mid-sized sedans like Mazda6 and Accord Euro.
