The French marque has vowed to “keep the appeal and excitement of the original concept car alive” – a promise that should mark a new era for Peugeot coupe and cabriolet design. “Deciding to create the RC-Z is a significant step for the French marque,” said Peugeot Automobiles director general Jean-Philippe Collin. “It will represent a move away from the current design philosophy associated with its coupes and roadsters, and signal a move towards a new era of appealing driver’s cars and higher quality products.” As we've previously reported, the four-seater RC Z shares a large amount of common parts with the 308 hatch. It is the same length (4276mm) as the hatch, slightly wider (1840mm) and sits lower (1320mm) than its hatch sibling. Both front and rear tracks are 59mm wider than the hatchback, but the suspension set-up is the same as the regular car, including the torsion beam rear-end.
