Future models - Renault - TraficRenault concept hits the DeckRenault goes off the beaten track with its latest concept - the Deck'up2 Feb 2004 RENAULT has revealed its latest kooky concept, the Trafic Deck’up. Based on the Trafic delivery van, which goes on sale in Australia in March, the Deck’up targets outdoor leisure and adventure off the beaten track. While preserving the original Trafic frontal styling, the Deck’up is actually 180mm shorter – the wheelbase has been reduced by 80mm – but 21mm wider than Trafic. The rear overhang has also been shortened by more than 200mm. The Deck’up has an open rear platform, like vehicles used for photo safaris. The pick-up section can be separated from the four-seat passenger compartment by translucent glass shutters. The platform is accessed at the back by a swing door that opens to a 90-degree angle. The Deck’up features high ground clearance, permanent four-wheel-drive transmission and 20-inch alloy wheels. Power is provided by a 99kW 2.5-litre dCi engine.
