LA auto show: Suzuki lifts SX4's lid

WITH a cabriolet variant of the Swift light car now not expected until at least 2010, the Japanese constructor has turned its attention to the SX4 via an open-roof concept unveiled in LA last week. The bright-orange surf-themed Makai concept is based on the SX4 Sport model and features 19-inch ‘CEC’ wheels, Michelin Pilot rubber, drilled and slotted disc brakes (with Rotora callipers), a custom bodykit, LED tail-lights and a surfboard mounting rack. The boards on top are finished in the same sunset orange as the bodywork.
