FOLLOWING the successful introduction of its 1, 2 and 3 Series Sport Collection earlier this year, BMW Group Australia has extended the availability of the sporty specification level to its X1 and X2 small SUV lines.
The X1 and X2 Sport Collection variants comprise what BMW says is a unique specification with a high level of equipment including an expansive array of luxury and convenience elements.
X1 Sport Collection variants, which are based on the X1 sDrive18i, will be priced from $55,900 driveaway, limited to 100 units and include a choice of Black Sapphire or Mineral White paint, xLine trim enhancements, 18-inch Y-spoke bi-colour alloy wheels and Sensatec upholstery in black.
Further, the variant is fitted with high gloss black interior garnishing, head-up display, 10.25-inch infotainment array with Navigation System Plus software, an electric tailgate, keyless entry and start, electric driver and front-seat passenger seat adjustment with memory function, lumbar support and seat heating, an anti-dazzle driver’s side wing mirror and automatic climate control.
Sport Collection is also available on the X1 sDrive20i variant (from $67,900 driveaway) adding an additional two paint colours – Mineral Grey and M Misano Blue – plus an M Sport styling package, 19-inch M bi-colour alloy wheels, Dakota leather upholstery in black with a blue highlight and a panoramic glass sunroof.
X2 Sport Collection variants – which are based on the X2 sDrive18i – are priced from $59,900 driveaway and are finished exclusively in Black Sapphire paint.
The coupe-SUV further includes 19-inch M bi-colour alloy wheels, interior trim in M Aluminium Hexagon anthracite, keyless entry and start, panoramic glass sunroof, electric driver and front-seat passenger seat adjustment with memory function, lumbar support and seat heating, an anti-dazzle driver’s side wing mirror and automatic climate control in addition to the derivative model’s standard features.
Also included are Micro Hexagon and Sensatec upholstery in black with blue highlights, head-up display, 10.25-inch infotainment array with Navigation System Plus software, an electric tailgate, and an anti-dazzle driver’s side wing mirror and automatic climate control.
Speaking to GoAuto at the release of the 1, 2 and 3 Series Sport Collection earlier this year, BMW Group Australia product and business communication manager Nick Raman said “the Sport Line slots beneath the M Sport line to make those models more accessible to prospective buyers”.
The X1 Sport Collection will be available from this month, with the X2 Sport Collection to go on sale from Q3 this year.
