A front and rear facelift, a comprehensively revised cabin, improved suspension, new trim and more features and refinement distinguished the AS series.
Troublesome electronics were banished, but the drivetrain remained the same. In early 1986 an 87kW turbo TX5 flagship appeared, with standard air-con, power steering, two-tone paint and alloy wheels.
