Honda AccordMk2 Accord1 Jan 1982 Wider, longer, roomier, stronger and significantly bigger, the Mk2 Accord traded its funky styling for a frumpier form. But it did become far more refined in the process. This time the stately four-door sedan was the range mainstay, backed up by a large three-door hatchback. Detailed improvements to the 1.6L engine improved its overall driveability in spite of the same power 59kW power output. In November ’82, power steering joined the long list of standard features, which included full instrumentation, radio/cassette player and cloth trim. All Mk2 Accords wore EX badges. |
