But after the Opel brand, under which the car was to be introduced, was yanked from the local market, the Astra-based drop-top was canned – until now. Back for a second attempt, the Cascada now has one critical difference – instead of the European lightning-bolt Opel badge, the new version has a Holden lion on the front. Convertibles are typically not volume sellers Down Under but with a sharp price, Euro looks and the all-important Holden badge, the company’s sporty addition to the range could find some wind in its sales – and hair.
