Road TestCar reviews - Holden - Vectra - CDXi 5-dr hatchHolden modelsResearch Holden The Car16 Jul 2003 THE old Vectra had the occasional styling flourish, like a bonnet crease that swept back into the mirrors. But it has nothing like the originality of the new car, which previews a corporate styling direction for GM's European division, Opel. Expect to see more of it on other models Opels sold here like Astra and Barina, and even exerting some influence of the next generation VE Commodore. For all the oddness of those vertical headlights, the rest of the shape - be it sedan or hatch - is very clean, crisp and European. The hatch-only CDXi is distinguished by a sports bodykit that includes unique front and rear sports bumpers, rear spoiler, black bezel headlights and dark lens tail-lights. Did you know? The hatchback version of the Vectra is built at Vauxhall's Ellesemere Port plant on the Wirral Peninsula near Liverpool, England, while the sedan emerges from a new facility at Opel's Russelsheim headquarters in GermanyAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
