Super TestCar reviews - Holden - Vectra - GL sedanHolden modelsResearch Holden Safety1 Feb 2001 A DRIVER'S airbag and seatbelt pretensioners are standard on GL models. A passenger airbag, ABS brakes and traction control are all optional. All occupants are restrained by three-point seatbelts - adjustable for height in the front - while the front seatbelts have a force limiter wherever an airbag is fitted, controlling maximum force on the chest in the event of a collision. Vectra features a Pedal Breakaway System that allows the brake, accelerator and clutch to snap off, limiting feet and lower leg injury in an accident. Child restraint anchor points are at each rear seat position, with an anchor fitting pre-installed in the centre. There are no rear headrests in the GL model. Anti-submarining ramps in all seats reduce the risk of sliding under the seatbelt in a crash.
