Super TestCar reviews - Honda - Integra - Type R 3-dr hatchHonda modelsLuggage28 Nov 2001 TYPE R's rear cargo space is now up three litres to 321 litres - enough room for two large suitcases or two large golf bags without folding down the rear seats. There's room for extra-large items such as bicycles with both of the 50-50 split-fold seats folded down. The hatch uses a new damper mechanism that reduces closing effort by 35 percent compared with the old model. An inner handle on the hatch lowers the required reach height. A mesh rear cargo cover is integrated into the lift gate and there is a storage tray for sunglasses and other small items. Cargo space is more usable because of the compact rear suspension, but a high lip can make loading tricky at times.
