A stabiliser bar is used on the front and rear axle, with springing and damping provided by coil springs and single-tube gas dampers. Engineers have revamped the design of the track rods, hub carriers and rear-axle subframe. Mercedes claims new kinematics and elastokinematics, based mainly on the use of optimised bearings, ensure better vibration properties and reinforce the sedan's understeering self-steer effect.
