Super TestCar reviews - Mitsubishi - Mirage - 3-dr hatchMitsubishi modelsLuggage1 Feb 2001 THE Mirage's rear seat has a 50/50 split-fold. The bench seat cushion does not move, meaning the rear seat split-fold does not allow for a neat, flat cargo floor. Child anchorage points are located at the rear of the luggage area on the floor, meaning once fitted the locating straps impinge greatly on luggage space. The tailgate is cut deep to facilitate loading and unloading. The height of 730 mm from road to hatch opening helps here, too. The absence of a boot light makes matters difficult at night. With the rear seat upright, the Mirage can hold 220 litres of luggage. The cargo compartment is fully trimmed.
