That hasn’t stopped the Japanese brand from giving it another crack, this time with a booted version of its smallest model. The Mirage sedan is one of very few options in the light car segment, but with narrow margins and low sales compared with the light hatch offerings, it is going to be a tough slog. Keen pricing and a generous-for-the-price equipment list should ensure people shopping at the bargain end of the new-car market will notice the Mirage, and it might even take a few sales off models a segment above it.
