Super TestCar reviews - Peugeot - 406 - SV sedanPeugeot modelsOther OpinionsThe ride is very, very good. Small bumps can lead to the odd mild suspension thud, but on the whole the 406 copes with imperfections superbly. The new gas-pressure shock absorbers mean it recovers from bumps excellently, as well as pampering occupants with a ride many more expensive cars can't match. As a mix between luxury and driving, the 406 SV sedan hits the mark. However, its smooth and responsive V6 engine is let down by an automatic transmission that's below the standards of its European opposition The back seat is generously padded, contoured for two, but wide enough for three. Tall passengers may find headroom and legroom (with equally tall occupants up front) at a premium. They also sit under glass, but a retractable sunblind is provided, as are three head restraints and lap/sash belts. Boot space is average, and can be extended by folding the back seat forward All car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
