For a start, it’s simply not true. Sure, the Czech brand nestles under the VW umbrella, but it’s a fiercely independent car company with a long and proud history of making great cars. And if you could dip into the VW parts bin to make your ideas go faster, sound better and look good, why wouldn’t you? The front-wheel drive Octavia RS mid-size sedan/liftback and wagon have been on sale for a little over a year now, and running changes to its initial launch spec have made us love it just a little bit more.
