Future models - Mitsubishi - Lancer - hatchFirst look: Mitsubishi's new Lancer hatchedPrototype-S sketch previews all-new Lancer hatch, to appear in the metal at Geneva30 Jan 2008 MITSUBISHI has revealed images of a hot-hatch version of the Lancer small-car ahead of its debut at the Geneva motor show in March. Expected on sale in Australia later this year, the five-door Lancer is being shown under the banner of the Lancer "Prototype-S" and combines a number of elements seen on the Ralliart Lancer shown in Detroit earlier this month – including its turbocharged 177kW/343Nm 2.0-litre engine, SST twin-clutch gearbox, full-time 4WD and Evo-inspired nose – with a sleek liftback rear-end. But there’s still no sign yet of a hatchback Evo.
