Mazda gave its diminutive Mazda2 light hatch and sedan range an overhaul in April 2017, the first update since the new model arrived in November 2014.
Active safety features such as collision mitigation were made standard across the range, while the G-Vectoring torque control system was also added.
Noise, vibration and harshness levels were improved, while suspension bushings, front and rear dampers and electronic power steering were all recalibrated.
Pricing and powertrains remained the same to the outgoing range, consisting of a 1.5-litre aspirated petrol four-pot developing either 79kW/139Nm or 81kW/141Nm, mated to six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
