A new grille, bumper bar, tail-lights, wheels and cabin trim tell the TH Magna apart from the TF, while the Verada’s gusty 147kW 3.5L V6 filtered down as standard across the Magna range except in the Executive, where it was an option.
Sadly, the unpopular 2.4L four-cylinder engine option evaporated. A trip computer, more cupholders and map pockets joined the base package list.
The Solara returned in November ’99, as did the well-equipped Magna V6Si.
Both boasted the bigger V6. That engine also powered June 2000’s value-added Executive LS edition.
