Borrowing the cynical theme first established by Toyota's RAV4, the CR-V is pretty much a regular station wagon that looks like an off-roader but is not much of one. That said, the Honda has its job to do, and does it well. Constant four-wheel drive is an undoubted bonus on the road, especially in wet or muddy conditions.
