Super TestCar reviews - Hyundai - Sonata - GL V6 sedanHyundai modelsSuspension21 Jan 2002 HYUNDAI engineers retuned the existing all-independent system, adding Sachs gas dampers to replace the previous South Korean oil dampers. The Sonata aims for sportier handling while preserving ride quality by re-tuning of the front double wishbone/rear multi-link (upper wishbone and triple lower links each side) all independent suspension. Road wheels are upped to 15 inches on all models and are shod with 205/65 HR15 tyres. The rear track was also widened 10mm to 1530mm, to add extra stability and improve the car's stance on the road and its rear appearance. Ground clearance is raised 12mm.
