Super TestCar reviews - Kia - Spectra - LS 5-dr hatchKia modelsDash4 Sep 2001 THE Spectra dash is a much more appealing proposition than the preceding Shuma's layout. As before, a large binnacle sweeps across from the instruments and merges into the dash fascia. But the design used this time around, particularly the huge sweep of metallic-look plastic, is much more appealing and the switchgear more modern and tactile. The instruments have a new twin-border graphic design and include a 220km/h speedo using 10km/h increments, tacho with redline at 6500rpm and the usual temperature and fuel gauges. An LCD odometer and twin trip meters are located in the speedo arc, however, both the odo and trip status cannot be viewed at the same time.
