Super TestCar reviews - Mazda - Millenia - sedanMazda modelsSteering27 Jul 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON ONE of the more interesting features of the Millenia is the use of a four-wheel steering system. A rack and pinion steering system is used at the front while the rear wheels are electronically steered in a direction and to a degree according to the front steering angle and vehicle speed. The system is mechanically and hydraulically actuated to improve cornering and straight-line stability, steering responsiveness and precision, rapid lane-changing manoeuvres and manoeuvrability at low speeds. Turning circle is a good 10.0m and turns lock to lock measure 2.8. Did you know?Mazda claims the steering system reduces driver fatigue over high-speed and extended travelling by reducing the response delay to steering input and action, and eliminating the vehicle's excessive reaction to steering inputAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
