As you might expect from a Mazda, this one is lighter, sharper and edgier in all the right ways, without sacrificing the unadulterated connection between car and driver. That the Japanese car-maker has managed to make a brilliant two-seater convertible for less than the price of a VW Golf GTI surely makes this one of this year’s most beguiling bargains.
