The automatic gearbox uses Mitsubishi's highly regarded INVECS II "fuzzy logic" system, which adapts to any substantial shift in terrain as well as the demands placed on it by the driver (through his/her accelerator usage), to maximise performance in all conditions. It also features a torque converter. The high-spec MR Coupe has gone one further by offering sequential manual gear selection on its auto box.
