The four front air vents remain in the same position as before, although the previous dash console stack of HVAC (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning) controls, audio system and an open storage compartment has been redesigned with the audio at the top and the HVAC controls lower down, separated by a covered storage bin. The front cupholder now pops out from a vertical storage position on the top left of the console, as per Liberty and Outback models. A silver, fake-metal finish has been applied to the dash console and gearshift surround, in keeping with current trends.
