Super TestCar reviews - Subaru - Forester - X 5-dr wagonSubaru modelsSeats1 Oct 2002 ALL Forester models continue to be fitted with Captain's Chair-style front seats, which feature folding armrests that fit flush into the inboard seat bolster. Seat trim is a combination of cloth and vinyl - the outer edges of the seat bolsters (squab and backrest) are trimmed in vinyl to be hard wearing on the seat's high contact points. Front seat fore/aft range has been increased 58mm, of which 13.5mm is increased rearward travel. Rear passenger legroom has improved 25mm, while there is also extra foot room beneath the front seats. The driver's seat is adjustable for height via a single dial-type control that offers 50mm of vertical adjustment and a slight forward tilting action to the seat. Subaru still calls it the "Super Seat Lifter", although it differs from the same-name system on Impreza models where a ratchet lever is used instead of the dial control. The Super Seat Lifter system supersedes the previous model's dial-type four-way tilt adjustment for the seat base. All five seating positions are equipped with a three-point lap/sash seatbelt and height adjustable head restraint. The height adjustable headrest for the centre rear seat position replaces the solid headrest fitted previously, which although removable obstructed rear vision when in position. Did you know? The rear seat backs are stronger on the new Forester and meet stringent European design rules relating to cargo movementAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
