The front belts are adjustable for height and use pretensioners and belt force limiters. Front airbags and seat-mounted side airbags are provided for both front seat occupants. Rear side airbags and head-protecting curtain airbags are not available. A child seat tether strap anchorage points is located on the rear parcel shelf behind each headrest. The doors have side-impact protection and the rigid body structure has front and rear crumple zones. Front and rear ventilated disc brakes provide good stopping power and are further aided by an anti-lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution. Other devices assisting with vehicle control include electronic stability program and anti-slip regulation. All-wheel drive also provides additional reassurance in slippery conditions.
