Future models - Suzuki - SX4Sydney show: WRC Suzuki wowsSuzuki reveals its world rally contender for 2007, based on the upcoming SX4 hatch27 Oct 2006 THE SX4 hatch is due here early next year, and Suzuki has wasted no time in using its hot World Rally Championship car as a teaser. Suzuki returns to the WRC next year and the SX4 WRC car – the main attraction on its Sydney stand from yesterday – features a newly developed AWD system with mechanical differentials front and rear and an electronic differential located in the centre. Power is transmitted via a five-speed sequential gearbox. Specific performance details of the WRC car are unknown but the prototype car develops 238kW between 4000rpm and 4500rpm and a massive 637Nm at 3000rpm. Maintaining the go-fast theme, Suzuki is showing its new $23,990 Swift Sport, which uses a sports-tuned 92kW 1.6-litre VVT engine.
