Super TestCar reviews - Holden - Astra - SRi 3-dr hatchHolden modelsElectronic System15 Mar 2002 SWITCHABLE traction control is standard on the Astra SRi. The traction control system uses both engine management control and individual wheel braking to cover most contingencies. The individual wheel braking works on the wheel with less grip, sending torque to the one with more grip, while engine power cuts down if both wheels begin to spin. The four-channel anti-lock (ABS) braking uses the same hardware as the traction control system.
