Super TestCar reviews - Proton - Satria - GTi 3-dr hatchProton modelsSafety7 Feb 2001 By P TIBBLES A DRIVER'S airbag is provided as standard equipment, however a passenger airbag is unavailable at any price. Side intrusion bars are designed to provide occupant protection in a side impact. Pillar to pillar bracing is claimed to help provide a good occupant protection cage. The centre-rear seatbelt is a lap belt only, a design which does not provide good occupant restraint. The GTi has a good stopping arsenal with four-wheel discs and anti-lock brakes. Did you know? The NRMA has evaluated the head restraints in the GTi and rated them as offering only marginal protection in the event of a collisionAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
