Future models - Hyundai - HED-1First look: HED-1 previews next AccentHyundai to preview next-generation Accent at Geneva via HED-1 concept1 Mar 2005 By TERRY MARTIN HYUNDAI will unveil its latest small car design work at the Geneva show in the form of the HED-1 show car, which extends the work it did on the E-cubed concept shown at Geneva last March. While the HED-1 is in the form of a mini-MPV, the car will show the basic design of the next generation Accent due for release late in 2005. The next Accent will be larger than the current version and, like Sonata, have at least one version of the new aluminium ‘Theta’ engine being built in at least 1.8, 2.0 and 2.4-litre sizes. As GoAuto revealed last May, 1.8 and 2.2-litre turbo versions were also in development, along with a high-output natural-breathing 2.0-litre engine.
