In June ’76 new emission-reducing regulations forced Toyota to ditch the 2T 1.6 engine for the Corona-derived 63kW 18R-C 2.0-litre four-cylinder motor, again married to a three-speed auto or five-speed manual gearbox.
There were also minor changes to trim and equipment levels.
