The EA2 ushered in a four-speed electronic transmission which allowed the 3.9-litre six to give much better performance and fuel economy. MITSUBISHI MAGNA 4D WAGON (1989-1992) THE front-wheel drive Magna has quiet and comfortable accommodation for five people and almost matches Commodore/Falcon for interior space. The 2.6-litre, 98kW engine provides reasonable performance and fuel economy. Executive offers power steering and stereo AM/FM radio. TOYOTA CAMRY 4D WAGON (1989-1991) THE Camry wagon, aka Holden Apollo, has earned a reputation for reliability and value for money which has made it a popular used car. The 2.0-litre, twin cam engine is smooth and economical with a power output of 88kW. SUBARU LIBERTY 4D WAGON (1989-1994) THE more expensive Liberty GX wagon combines good equipment level and competent handling with a 2.2-litre, fuel-injected, flat-four engine producing 100kW. The GX was available as a front-wheel drive or with four-wheel drive with viscous coupling.
