Super TestCar reviews - Holden - Jackaroo - SE TDi 5-dr wagonHolden modelsResearch Holden Suspension9 Feb 2001 By P TIBBLES THE Jackaroo's suspension has carried the off-road Isuzu-Holden with competence over the years, so it remains unchanged in the latest version apart from some toughening at the front end to compensate for the extra weight of the turbo-diesel. It is basically a simple layout, using (adjustable) torsion bars with wishbones at the front and a coil-spring, four-link layout at the back. A stabiliser bar is used at the front to control body roll while cornering while double-acting gas shock absorbers are used front and rear. A stone guard is provided for the rear suspension.
