Super TestCar reviews - Toyota - LandCruiser Prado - TX 5-dr wagonToyota modelsBrakes15 Feb 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON THE Prado offers a nicely engineered braking system with ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels, close to equal in size front and back. The TX also picks up a standard anti-lock system that is a combined Toyota-Aisin affair with four sensors and three channels (the rear wheels are operated in tandem even if lock-up is detected independently). The system is aided by a load-sensing proportioning valve that adjusts braking force between front and rear wheels depending on the load carried. Did you know? The front discs measure 319mm, while the rear discs measure 312mmAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
