Super TestCar reviews - Toyota - LandCruiser Prado - TX 5-dr wagonToyota modelsSteering15 Feb 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON THE Prado's steering is by rack and pinion, with power assistance to reduce effort during low-speed manoeuvres, such as parking in the supermarket, or scrambling down a rocky track. For a relatively large 4WD, the Prado turns pretty sharply too, taking only 11.4 metres from kerb to kerb. The steering's accuracy and light, nimble feel is a significant part of the Prado's appeal in a market where car-like road manners are becoming normal expectations.
