Mitsubishi Triton Raider priced from $74,990

Triton Raider ready to break new ground, says Mitsubishi, not just in pricing terms

18 May 2026

MITSUBISHI Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) has announced pricing for its ruggedised Triton Raider, the variant retailing from $74,990 before on-road costs to undercut Ford’s Ranger Tremor by just $100.

The Triton Raider is also less expensive than a Mazda BT-50 Thunder (from $78,400 + ORC) and Isuzu D-Max Blade (from $78,900 + ORC). Nissan is yet to announce pricing for its latest Navara Pro-4X Warrior or reveal the final design.

Developed in conjunction with local automotive engineering powerhouse Premcar, the Triton GSR-based Raider dual-cab features a bespoke suspension arrangement, unique wheel and tyre bundle, and Warm Dark Grey aesthetic flourishes that MMAL has complemented with factory-sourced accessories that include a roll-over bar and blackened side steps with red highlights.

Complementing the Monroe-sourced suspension components and knobbly Bridgestone AT002 tyres over 18 x 9-inch ROH alloy wheels in Brushed Bronze are ‘Sandstorm’ side decals, Raider badging inside and out, a heavy-duty frontal bash plate and embroidered front head restraints.

MMAL says the Triton Raider was designed, developed, and tested to bring confidence to every drive, and on any surface.

Its dynamics were tuned by Premcar senior engineering partner Andrew Lynch to offer a suitable blend of comfort and control, offering a unique spring and damper tune, increased ride height (+25mm), and wider track (+15mm).

The Yamaha Performance Damper system debuted on the MY26 Triton GSR is retained, this horizontally mounted damper helping improve stability while reducing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH).

Mechanically, the Triton Raider remains otherwise identical to the donor vehicle, powered by Mitsubishi’s 4N16-series twin-turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder diesel that develops 150kW of power and 470Nm of torque.

The model is offered only with a six-speed automatic transmission, joining Mitsubishi’s renowned Super Select II four-wheel drive system with various terrain modes, both centre- and rear locking differentials, and a dual-range transfer case.

Mitsubishi will offer the Triton Raider with the same levels of equipment as found in the GSR donor, and in a choice of four paint colours – Black Mica, Blade Silver, Graphite Grey, and White Diamond.

“The Triton Raider is already breaking new ground for the Mitsubishi brand in Australia,” said MMAL general manager of product strategy Bruce Hampel.

“Early feedback from our dealer network since unveiling has been resoundingly positive, with specific callouts for Raider’s improved wheel control, aggressive styling and off-road performance.

“We are incredibly proud of the product our team has delivered in collaboration with Premcar. Along with our dealer network, we can’t wait for customers to experience the Triton Raider for themselves.”

The 2026 Mitsubishi Triton Raider will be in dealerships nationally from June.
