The ventilated front brakes measure 260mm in diameter, with the solid rear discs 240mm. The brake booster has increased in size over the previous model for better brake pedal feel and less effort. Holden also claims the larger 14-inch wheels and bigger, wider tyres were specially selected and tuned to match Barina's handling, therefore playing a complementary role in reduced braking distance.
