Hyunda reveals its Tokyo show entrant, a crossover-SUV powered by a storming new V8

25 Oct 2005

HYUNDAI lifted the veil on its Tokyo show car, the Neos-3, just hours before the event kicked off on October 19.

The Korean company describes the concept, which was developed at the Hyundai Design and Technical Centre in Chiba, Japan, as a cross between a 4WD and a crossover.

Under the bonnet is a new 4.6-litre V8, which Hyundai insiders suggest may make an appearance in the US in the next-generation Santa Fe.

The concept features several technological advancements, including an adaptive front lighting system, infra-red night-vision, heads-up display, rear entertainment system and a trackball controller for the climate-control air-conditioning.
