Cub concept to be revealed at Seoul could be Kia’s own Mercedes CLA25 Mar 2013 KIA will reveal what could be its very own take on the Mercedes-Benz CLA coupe, unveiling the compact Cub four-door concept at this week’s Seoul motor show. While details of the Cub are scarce, the concept’s rendering reveals styling cues borrowed from the larger GT four-door coupe concept unveiled at the 2011 Geneva motor show, and is a further glimpse into the future of the Korean car-maker’s design. Kia says the Cub is less than four metres long and is designed to appeal to “trend-setting urban dwellers”. The small coupe concept features a familiar Kia grille, a curved body and two-point LED headlights that Kia says are similar to that used on the Quoris luxury sedan. The unveiling of the Cub comes hot on the heels of the European-designed two-door Provo concept that was revealed at the Geneva motor show earlier this month. Although not confirmed for production, the all-wheel-drive petrol-electric hybrid Provo could become a niche model for Kia and slot into the premium end of the Korean brand’s line-up. Kia will reveal the Cub at the Seoul motor show on Thursday. ![]() Read more |
