First-generation T60Nov 2017

First-generation T60

LDV launched its first-ever dual-cab pick-up in November 2017, with the Chinese-built T60 having made its debut singularly with a diesel engine and dual-range four-wheel drive, and with two model grades each available with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.Designed to compete with the Ford Ranger and Volkswagen Amarok, the T60 was built on an entirely new ladder-frame chassis with body dimensions near-mirroring those rivals while shaping up slightly larger than a Mitsubishi Triton and Toyota HiLux.The Italian VM Motori-sourced 110kW/360Nm 2.8-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine motivated the LDV with a kerb weight of between 1950kg and 2060kg. It also permitted a payload of between 815kg and 1025kg, in addition to a 3000kg braked towing capacity. All variants included four-wheel disc brakes, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-descent control, six airbags, foglights, auto on/off wipers and swivelling LED headlights, cloth seats and a 10-inch touchscreen with twin USB ports and six speakers. The Pro featured ‘heavy duty’ leaf spring suspension, while the Luxe delivered a softer set-up along with an on-demand rear differential lock, rear sports bar, chrome grille, keyless auto-entry with push-button start, electric-fold and heated door mirrors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, climate control air-conditioning and leather trim with heated and electrically adjustable front seats.

XV70 Camry

After 30 years of being built in Australia, the Camry returned to being an imported model in 2017 after Toyota shut its Australian manufacturing operations. This time sourced from Japan, the eighth-generation Camry was underpinned by the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) that also formed the basis of the C-HR crossover and the Prius hybrid.Once again offered in four-cylinder petrol (carried over from the previous generation) and petrol-electric hybrid (this time a new-gen system), the Camry was also offered with a 224kW/362Nm V6 borrowed from the Kluger SUV paired with an eight-speed auto.Previously, the Aurion was offered as the alternative for buyers wanting a V6, but this model has been discontinued.Toyota changed the names of some of the variants, with Altise and Atara ditched in favour of Ascent, Ascent Sport, SX and SL.The interior was completely new and introduced a modern look, new tech features and a much quieter cabin thanks to improvements to noise, vibration and harshness levels.More safety features and more overall standard gear improved the value equation which was hlped by the fact that pricing remained around the same as the previous version. But it was the dramatic improvements to ride and handling that finally earned the Camry praise for becoming something of a driver’s car.

GoAuto Search Words

Search will attempt to find all articles within the system that contain any or all words you are looking for.

You can include words like "and" + "or" for boolean style searching. Some search examples as follows:

  • "Ford v8" - Results will contain the text as it appears in the search "Ford v8".
  • "Ford and v8" - Results will have both "Ford" and "v8" within its contents but may not be sequential as per previous example.
  • "Ford or Holden and v8" - Results found will contain "v8" and also contain either "Ford" or "Holden".

You may also use wildcards represented by an asterisks. For example:

  • "Turbo*" - will find all documents that contain words like "Turbocharged", "Turbo-Diesel".
  • "Ford and v*" - Results will have both "Ford" and any word that has "V", so you may find documents about Volvo that mention Ford.
