Super TestCar reviews - Holden - Astra - City 3-dr hatchHolden modelsDash24 Aug 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON ASTRA interior designers have made strong use of geometric shapes and curved panels to reflect values such as quality, solidity and sportiness. The latter is further emphasised by the dark tones used across the dash and centre console. Soft dash materials provide an upmarket feel and give a measure of protection for the legs and head in the event of a collision. The major instruments have a rounded hood overhead and are notable for their basic, uncluttered presentation. A digital odometer/trip meter is housed within the 230km/h speedometer arc and can be difficult to read in direct sunlight. A useful multi-function display shows items such as the time, date, audio settings and outside temperature.
