Super TestCar reviews - Holden - Astra - City 3-dr hatchHolden modelsStand Out Features24 Aug 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON ONE of the best aspects of the three-door model is that it brings the excellent Astra mechanical package to a wider audience. Equipment levels are on the sparse side compared to its Japanese and Korean rivals, however the City three-door hatch - like the five-door model - carries a level of quality and comfort usually reserved for deeply rooted Continental marques. Better looking than the hatch and sedan, it still has a notable amount of safety equipment (sans rear headrests and an ABS option). As with the sedan and five-door, the car's secret is a brilliant combination of performance, handling and refinement. Did you know?Vehicle development testing sites for the Astra included Australian and Arizona deserts (hot weather testing), far north Sweden (cold weather testing) and the Swiss and Austrian Alps (ride and handling and brake testing)All car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
